All Things New Music with Maro DēLo!!
Hi Maro! Thank you for speaking with me today!
You just released your new song, 'Magic Garden'! Will you tell us about that? Magic Garden is about being a supportive partner and giving that person someone to confide in and just escape life’s madness with. How is it having the project out in the world now?
It feels good to ramp up my catalog with eclectically inspired music, and I think that Magic Garden adds something flavorful to the mix of what I‘ve been releasing over 2021 so far! Any other projects in the works you want to tell us about?
Right off the bat, I just want to announce that I have just released my first Starter Pack bundle (links to that below)! So excited to be able to give back to the fans who make this all possible! In terms of content, I have some singles rolling out over the course of this summer and fall that I’m honored to have worked on tirelessly with David Ivory over the past year/during the pandemic! Despite all of the madness, it was a blessing in disguise for me. I got to take the time to build my development as a songwriter and hone my craft as a performer. Now that things are opening back up, I’m planning my first music video drop and booking gigs in this coming September! Who are some artists who you have been listening to a lot lately?
I’ve been listening to a lot of classic rock and pop songs, mostly some cover songs that suit my abilities as a singer: Maroon 5, Queen, Panic! At The Disco, Journey; bands of that nature mostly. I also just like to open my palate to other genres as well like HipHop/Rap, House, Trap; stuff along those lines so that I can get a taste for what people in my target demographic ALSO listen to as well. Nothing bad can come from being up to date and in the know about what’s hitting now! What do you hope to see in the music world as the industry continues to evolve?Honestly, what I hope to see is more and more pull towards live events for artists like myself, especially after this pandemic (that we’re at the tail end of). With regards to the fact that there is no “record industry” anymore (because we all know vinyl will never be as big as it used to be, despite its comeback), the most lucrative way to make a living as an artist is live events. It’s the freshest breath of fresh air in ages to see that things are starting to open back up to normalcy. Let’s just hope it stays that way! Please tell everyone where they can keep up with you and your music! Follow the link solo.to/marodelo OR marodelo.com to stay fully up to date on everything that I’m up to; I post on my Instagram @marodelomusic and my Facebook group “The DēLo’s” the most, so make sure to check out my content there!
