LISTENING TO KINDERCROWDCONTROL
Take a listen to all things KinderCrowdControl!
What hot sounds in the city should fans be listening to of yours right now? Edem: Thanks for asking! KinderCrowdControl's most recent single “Yes” is doing great right now. As of this interview it has made #1 on two Spotify playlists, and #2 on another. We couldn’t be more stoked. Give it a spin! https://kindercrowdcontrol.bandcamp.com/track/yes Brett: “Yes” is our current release, but there are plenty of other tracks to listen to on Bandcamp. How has the reception been to new music? Edem: See above. Seems to be great. Brett: I think people generally look for new music as a way to satisfy a sort of craving. Afterall, it would be very static of us not to seek out new ear candy. What are you looking forward to most when you sit in front of an audience? Edem: Wondering how I got in the front row! Brett: I would hope not to be sitting. What is an album that you have on repeat right now? Edem: There’s a few. I’m loath to put any one album in front of your viewers, in the event anyone tries to infer an overall influence. But, to answer: "Pursuit Of Happiness" by Weekend Players is a recent favorite. I hadn’t heard it in a while, but it’s an amazing album (and their only release), and I’m revisiting it. Also “Love Train” by The O’Jays is a daily dive for me right now. Love Motown. Brett: I don’t put albums on repeat very often. As above, it’s way too static to listen to the same thing over and over. I certainly wouldn’t want to taste the same thing over and over, and so it goes with my ears too. What song of YOURS do you have on repeat? Edem: I do go through our catalog on a regular basis. It’s really rewarding for me to hear our progress. But in answer to your specific question, Brett and I continue to work on a 7 part opus, of which “Yes” is one part, so right now we’re working on another part of this. It’s really fun to hear the evolution of each part as it takes its place in the whole. I can’t give away the title, but it’s a really beautiful “house” composition. Brett: I love “Yes”. But I think that most artists prefer to focus on where they are in the present in order to make a meaningful jump forward. I feel that our compositions are getting better and better, and so is our production. Perhaps as Artists, we also crave the newest ear candy.
