  • Hot Sounds In The City

Goodwin Rainer (Mobile, AL), formed in 2017 and often described as “folk punk” or “alt. country,” is a 7-piece band with heartfelt songs featuring an assortment of strings, loud distorted bass and wailing horn sections. A Damn Good Tour (April 2022) is to support their debut record “Damn Good Friends”, released in late 2021.

What hot sounds in the city should fans be listening to of yours right now?

Our new record “Damn Good Friends” is out and is available wherever you find your music!

How has the reception been to new music?

Overall, very good. We just got done with “A Damn Good Tour” and we felt as if we made an impact on people in every city.

What are you looking forward to most when you perform in front of an audience this year?

The energy and connection that we have with people when playing live.

What was the intention set for your music?

I’m not really sure if there were any set intentions. We just write songs that are inspired by our real life experiences, and hopefully people can relate to them.

What was the most important message to impart with your music?

We’re here for a good time, not a long time. Do what makes you happy, as long as you’re not being hateful or hurting anybody.

How do you want your fans to treat themselves after listening to your music?

They should love themselves. And in general, people shouldn’t be so hard on themselves. You’re trying. People are proud of you.

What is a song of yours that you have on repeat right now to set the mood for 2022?

Probably “Paying Gigs” because it is a bop and a good song to blare all of this coming summer.

Drop all your streaming links and dates for your tour to make sure to get continued support on all you do!!
