Do you have some hot new sounds in the works right now with your music?
Yes I have my jingle for my snack line R&B Sweets by Boss Lady DeneQuia dropping. And I’m currently working on a song with @kingjamesworthy we will be releasing our song in November. I’m filling that single up with a song I’ve done with my two cousins @spoatmusic & @seangodschild our song is called the Mud & it’s about our lives growing up in South Florida.
Is it difficult to release new music? No , I stay creating music. I just choose the best time to put it out so that way I make sure I have the people's attention. What kind of sounds can your fans expect from you next? More vocals! Definitely more of an R&B type vibe . Gospel music is where I started very young at the tender age of 4 years old . R&B became my home for many years! It’s time to give the folks more of that feeling before I switch it up again. You recently did a photo shoot as homage to the late and great Whitney Housten. Where did that inspiration come from? Her Birthday was August 9th so I wanted to do something to give her the tribute she deserves. Whitney Houston has always been my idol & I’ve always wanted to sing like her and captivate the crowds like she did. I guess you can say she inspired me alongside my family, late mom & brother everyday. I just want the world to hear what I have to offer vocally; talent wise & respect it. Are there any other idols that have influenced your music as well? I love Mariah Carey , CeCe Winans, Anita Baker,Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifah, Frankie Beverly, Luther Vandross , Billie Holiday, Madonna , Fiona Apple , Trisha Yearwood, Sade , Erykah Badu,Monica , Brandy , Beyonce , Rihanna just to name a few. Is there ever a moment you want to change something in your music last minute? Yes, I’m glad you asked me this question. Sometimes I just wanna go back and fix how I sang something . It happened to me on a few songs on my first album “The Art of a Woman “. Man if I could go back and do it all over I would to be honest. Most basic piece of advice that you are so happy you've learned along the way of your journey? Shoot for your Goals! People will try and water down your talents and capabilities. Don’t let what they say get to you oftentimes either jealous, insecure of their own capabilities or just clueless as to what it takes to truly be successful or do things how you do them .
