"THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS" LOCKYER BOYS
Producing the Big Picture with Lockyer Boys:
Hi Lockyer Boys! When you look at all the music you have made, what is the big picture for how you want your artistry to be seen?
We just want to be seen as fun performers who promote having a good time! We want our music to make people feel good and hopefully help them through any struggles they may face.
You challenge the status quo, how did you identify your purpose for the music you wanted to put out?
When we first started writing and making original music, we had no plans other than to make songs we enjoyed. After doing this multiple times we realized where our identity sat within our music and started to use that to our advantage.
When you create your body of work, are there boxes you must check or does everything evolve as it should be and you allow for the checklist to not be completely checked?
The only thing that matters when we are making music is what’s best for the song.
Could you give us some insight of what your checklist does look like if you have one?
We often look at whether the song is exciting enough, if the lyrics are matching the instrumentation, and if we think the song has enough of a message.
Who are you paying homage to for your vision as an artist?
We really look up to guys like Harry Styles, Shawn Mendes, and the Jonas Brothers but we are constantly learning and being inspired by different people.
You are a visionary, please keep us in the loop of what your plans are for more music and WHERE you are headed next for your fans to connect with you?
We love connecting with our fans on social media and they can tune in on any of our accounts to stay updated! @lockyerboys
