Total World Domination with Camryn!

Who are you taking a page from when it comes to achieving your music goals?

There are so many artists I look up to, Beyoncé’s work ethic puts her at the top for me. She is involved in every part of her music career from making music to managing her other businesses head on herself. I think it’s important for artists to be involved in all aspects of their music and career. Beyoncé takes that concept of involvement so many steps farther and I really admire her for that reason.

What do you have your heart set on for your music career?

TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION!!!! Lol but seriously, I really want to continue to make music that I love and expresses who I am in that moment or headspace. Touring is my absolute favorite thing and I hope there are many world tours in my future. I love connecting in person and feeling the energy of a live show. Playing Madison square garden has always been a dream of mine and accomplishing that is a major career goal!

When are you finishing up your next project?

With a global pandemic like most of the world, I spent time with friends and family and finished getting my degree in psychology. I have a few things in the works now that I am very excited about and I can’t wait to share them with everyone!

How do you respond to obstacles in the music making process?

I am a believer that everything happens for a reason and while it may not be known to me right away what that reason was for how something went, I have faith in the process. Sometimes the biggest obstacles lead to very magical things and I try to remind myself of that when things don’t go as planned. I am really working on focusing less on “why is this happening to me” and putting my energy towards “ok, that happened. Now what?”. Like most things it’s easier said than done.

What does it take to apply all your focus in making a project come to fruition?

Having lots of patience is key because you can’t force anything. It has to happen naturally or else it won’t feel authentic. Now that I am finished with school I have much more energy and time to focus on making music and performing. I am so excited to see what this next year has in store for me now that so much has changed in my life.

What are you gaining from spending your time on ultimately doing what you love?

If I couldn’t sing I don’t know what I would do with myself. It’s who I am and it’s what I love doing most. The fact that I get to do it as a career is incredible and I am thankful I get to do what I love everyday. I am able to process my life and the world around me through music, it’s how I find peace, work through pain, and express joy..

Are there any other passions aside from your music that's getting your attention?

I love real estate and real estate development. Interior design has always been a passion for me and developing an entire home ground up is a dream come true. I get to see the entire process and be part of every design decision which lets me explore the many possibilities. Your home is a reflection of yourself so it is another form of art and self expression for me.
